Laser Hair Reduction

What is it?
We use the IPL laser technology to remove undesired hair permanently.

How does it work?
The IPL system works by the delivery of specific wavelengths of light to target the pigment in hair follicles. Using this technology, the permanent hair reduction is achieved when the cells responsible for hair growth are disabled.

Can light hair be permanently reduced or removed?
Yes. Using a specific hand-piece, light can be delivered in a way that allows for use on most skin types and all hair types and color. It may take additional settings to achieve the same results as seen in people with darker hair.

Is it painful?
The question of pain is very patient dependent but most people find the treatment tolerable. We can use numbing cream on smaller areas such as the chin, underarms, and bikini. Larger areas can be anesthetized with ice but not numbing creams due to the risk of Lidocaine toxicity. Fortunately, ice is very effective as an anesthetic agent.
